Better accessibility at rail stations

Access for disabled passengers will be improved at 104 railway stations across England and Wales, following the allocation of £3.1m for small schemes as part of the Government's Access for All funding announced in March (LTT 6 Apr). The funds will be used to improve disabled parking, signing, lighting, toilets and provide new lifts. The Government's small schemes fund provides up to 50% of the cost of schemes, up to a maximum of £250,000, and is additional to the £35m a year...
