Free parking schemes designes to support trade in Peterborough city centre and Huntingdonshire will be introduced at a cost of £1.5m by the Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
The free parking funding was confirmed when Mayor Paul Bristow’s budget for 2026/27 was approved at a meeting of the Combined Authority Board on 28 January.
The Mayoral Precept, which forms part of council tax bills, will remain at £36 per year for a Band D household.
