Private car park cameras lacked planning permission

A private car park in Telford has been using automatic number plate cameras (ANPR) without permission for the last six years.

Creative Car Park has applied to Telford and Wrekin Council for retrospective permission for 14 warning signs on lampposts and two ANPR cameras.

JMW Solicitors, acting for the company, said the cameras in the car park were intended to ensure it was only used by customers.
