Parking charges to be introduced in New Forest National Park

Charges are set to be introduced to use car parks in the New Forest, Forestry England has confirmed.

Parking in car parks across the national park is currently free, but charges beginning at £1.50 per hour will be put in place in the spring.

Forestry England, which manages the forest’s Crown lands, said the fees are was necessary because of increasing costs in repairing car parks and trails.
