The Liberal Democrats has passed at conference two transport policies - making rail travel affordable, reliable and simple, and creating public rights of way for walking, wheeling, and cycling.
The rail policy, announced last month at the party’s Autumn Conference in Bournemouth, includes nationwide tap-in tap-out ticketing and a statutory duty on accessibility so everyone, regardless of ability, can use the rail network “with dignity and ease”.
