The DfT is to award councils an extra £348m over four years for road maintenance and small-scale congestion relief schemes. Just under £200m will be available through a Challenge Fund in 2019/20 and 2020/21 for maintenance and £150m will be distributed through the Pinch Point Fund in 2021/22 and 2022/23 for congestion relief projects....
