Transport secretary Chris Grayling has granted development consent for Highways England’s A19/A184 Testo’s junction improvement scheme in Sunderland. The existing at-grade roundabout junction will be replaced with a grade separated junction by raising the A19 to carry it over the existing roundabout. Parallel link roads will connect Testo’s Junction to Downhill Lane junction, which lies less than a mile to the south....
