Cambridgeshire operator wants franchising

A bus operator in Cambridgeshire has called on the area’s elected mayor to implement bus franchising.  

Whippet Coaches issued the call ahead of its withdrawal from 16 routes on 3 September. Whippet said the routes, a mixture of commercial and contracted, had been operating at a loss for the last two years.
