Areas of England moving to a mayoral combined authority can submit programme-level, rather than scheme-based, bids to the third round of the Local Growth Fund, which is worth £1.8bn. Further details of the third round of the fund are revealed in a letter sent to Local Enterprise Partnerships by communities secretary Greg Clark (see below). Most of the funding will be released from 2018.
