Over 80 entries are competing in the British Parking Awards 2016, the annual competition organised by Parking Review magazine.
The entries come from across the public and private parking sectors, and encompasses on-street and off-street parking operations.
The competition has categories devoted to the built environment and parking technology, but also recognises achievements by individuals and teams working in parking.
Besides the competitive categories, there will be special awards such as a Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by the British Parking Association (BPA), and the Parking Review Inspiration Award, which is presented to a standout project or achievement in the parking sector.
The submissions are currently being assessed by a panel of experts drawn from across the parking, motoring, local government, consultancy and transport sectors.
The short list of finalists is expected to be unveiled on 1 February. The winners will be revealed by the actor and comedian Hal Cruttenden at a gala awards lunch being held at the Lancaster London Hotel on 4 March.
