Chichester District Council is upgrading the payment system at the Avenue de Chartres car park in Chichester.
The 900-space car park faces the historic town’s medieval wall and cathedral. It was built in 1991 at a cost of £5.2m to designs by architect Birds Portchmouth Russum.
The council has awarded Metric Group a contract to supply a new Amano pay-on-foot system. The Xparc system will comprise two entries, two exits, ANPR cameras and five pay stations....
