Liverpool’s mayor Joe Anderson is considering implementing Red Routes, on which stopping is prohibited, on key roads into the city. Liverpool is currently conducting a trial of suspending bus lanes and minutes of last month’s cabinet meeting record Anderson stating that “there would also be the potential to introduce Red Routes on key arterial corridors where parking would be completely forbidden to maximise traffic flows”.
