The Highways Agency has commissioned Halcrow to undertake a feasibility study of building a new motorway junction on the M62 on the north side of Huddersfield. Junction 24a would be located where the A641 linking Huddersfield and Brighouse road crosses the motorway. Kirklees Council has been lobbying for the new junction. The four-month study is costing just over £12,000.
