Ealing Council has signed a three-year contract with JBW after the bailiff firm collected £40,000 of parking debt for the London borough that had previously been written off. Using its AR12 system, JBW took on a trial for the council to look into 16,000 previously uncollectable cases.
The firm said it was able to successfully wrap up 6% of these cases over a six-week period. The average age of the debts was three and half years, with the oldest more than six years old, said JBW.
