Train operators have recruited two executives from outside of the rail industry to reinvigorate the Association of Train Operating Companies.
Michael Roberts, currently director of business environment at the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) will become the chief executive of ATOC. Roberts replaces George Muir, who is retiring after nine years as director general at ATOC.
