Arriva has launched a trial of the latest m-ticketing technology at its flagship Kent Fastrack bus operation.
The Sunderland-based group is the first UK bus operator to adopt third generation mobile commerce technology to enable the purchase of bus tickets from a mobile handset.
It allows passengers not only to pre-purchase barcode style m-tickets through their mobile phone, but also to automatically verify their tickets using on-board scanners.
