It was yet again a mixed week on the stockmarket for our portfolio of transport shares, with winners and losers in seemingly equal measure.

Both First and Go Ahead slipped back to close down 5% and 4% respectively. This was despite Go Ahead gaining a particularly positive brokers note from Deutsche Bank and rumours around the City that the Newcastle-based group was poised to make a bid for rail freight operator Freightliner. Never the less the group still closed down at 1,521p.
