Councils in the far south-west of England have outlined revised funding proposals for major transport schemes, which they hope will persuade the DfT to fund the projects.
Devon and Torbay councils are each pledging to contribute £17m towards the £110m cost of the A380 South Devon Link Road (Kingskerswell bypass), a dual carriageway on the A380 into Torquay and Paignton. The councils’ contribution represents 31% of the project cost.
