Falkirk-based bus builder Alexander Dennis has posted a 29% increase in profits for 2010 despite the depressed state of the UK bus market during the year. Turnover fell from £290m to £283m but pre-tax profit rose from £3.2m to £4.5m.
The results were achieved in the face of a UK bus market, which declined over 30%, and aided by a 20% increase in export orders.
