A High-speed rail station serving Manchester Airport would deliver major benefits for the airport and the region, according to a new report.
Consultants AECOM and KPMG suggest that an airport station, with a cost of £800m (including optimism bias), would boost the airport’s catchment area and provide good access to high-speed rail for motorists using the conurbation’s motorway network.
