Tom Harris has replaced Derek Twigg as junior transport minister at the Department for Transport. Harris (pictured) was elected as MP for Glasgow Cathcart in 2001 and re-elected to the re-organised Glasgow South constituency in 2005. He was previously parliamentary private secretary to health secretary Patricia Hewitt, and prior to that undertook the same role for Northern Ireland minister John Spellar between 2003 and 2005.
