It has emerged that Ron Culley has resigned as chief executive of Strathclyde Partnership for Transport with effect from today (Thursday).
It follows the resignation of SPT chairman Alistair Watson on Monday following the disclosure of the expenses claims of senior members and executives at the organisation.
Audit Scotland has been called in to investigate after it was revealed that members and senior managers claimed over £100,000 on foreign trips and taxi fares.
