The Scottish Government has failed in its aim to attract three consortia to bid for the design and build contract for the new Forth road crossing.
News that only two consortia will bid for the work came as the Government advertised for a director to mastermind delivery of the project to construct a cable stayed bridge just to the west of the existing suspension bridge at Queensferry.
