National Express chief executive Richard Bowker has resigned, however, the group has said that it will continue to the run the East Coast franchise, despite the announcement from transport secretary Andrew Adonis that it would be taken into public ownership.
Bowker CBE, the former head of the Strategic Rail Authority, will leave NEG at the end of August to become chief executive designate of Union Railway in the UAE. However he will be standing down as a director of the group on July 10....
