In one month's time, the shining efforts and talent of some of the industry's best managers will be recognised at the second annual Passenger Transport Management Awards ceremony.
Supported by Local Transport Today, the 12 awards are designed to foster management talent in the industry's ground passenger transport modes in the UK.
They range from rewarding innovation and new thinking, local and operational management, and engineering to Young Passenger Transport Professional, Unsung Heroes, and Industry Ambassador awards.
"We do strive for excellence every day," said First ScotRail managing director Mary Grant last year.
Amongst those presenting the awards will be First Group chief executive Sir Moir Lockhead, who has been in the industry for almost 50 years and needs no real introduction. BBC transport correspondent for Northern England, Alan Whitehouse, will host the prestigious event.
Last year's inaugural event was a huge success, and an uplifting and heart-warming occasion which paid fitting tribute to the hard work and commitment of the passenger transport industry.
"We do strive for excellence every day," commented First ScotRail managing director Mary Grant on winning the Passenger Transport Professional of the Year at last year's awards.
There is still time for you and your colleagues to book places at the prestigious lunchtime ceremony at the Tower Hotel in London on Friday June 12. To do so, please contact Sabrina on 0845 270 7067 or email
