A surprising push by Veolia Transport into the bus market of rural Mid Wales has triggered a protest by some of thefamily-owned
operators likely to lose contracts.
Powys County Council chief executive Mark Kerr, previously a Royal Navy rear admiral, stood in the road to stop one of more than 20 buses which were driven to county hall by managers and staff angry about job losses.
