OFT tells Stagecoach to keep Rapsons and Cavalier separate

Stagecoach must retain the identities and liveries of the recently acquired businesses

Stagecoach has signed up to strict undertakings with the Office of Fair Trading over the recent purchase of Cavalier Contracts, parent of Huntingdon & District, and Highland Country Buses and Orkney Coaches, acquired with its purchase of Rapsons earlier this summer.

The move marks a new tactic by the group in order to satisfy the demands of the OFT as Stagecoach already has significant bus interests neighbouring the operating areas of the recently acquired businesses.
