More than 80% of people think it acceptable for police authorities to use speed cameras, according to a new survey. The Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) annual speed camera survey shows that 82% think that speed cameras have helped to contribute to the fall in road deaths from the 1990s onwards. But 45% think that raising income is still a main reason for their use.
