Islington approves 20mph roll-out

All roads under the control of Islington Council in north London will become 20mph zones after the authority agreed the move after a year of consultation. Previously streets and minor roads identified as accident hotspots were subject to a 20mph speed limit. However, roads managed by Transport for London, including Holloway and Upper Street, will not be affected when the changes are implemented in April 2013.
