Cycle mirrors installed at dangerous junctions

Southwark Council has erected street cycle safety mirrors at dangerous road junctions across the central London borough, to cut the number of collisions between drivers and cyclists. Currently four junctions in the borough are equipped with the mirrors, with a further eight to be fitted with the mirrors by March 2013. The council installed the mirrors outside of Cycle Superhighways and Crossrail. The concave mirrors are attached to traffic lights allowing bus and lorry drivers to see cyclists...
