Launch of single-use breathalysers delayed

 

The introduction of breathalyser kits for all motor vehicles travelling on French roads has been put postponed until March 2013, according to the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM).

All drivers, including motorcyclists, will be required to carry a single-use breathalyser kit costing between £1 and £2, or face an €11 (£8.92) fine. The fines were due to be introduced from 1 November 2012. The legal alcohol limit in France is 50mg per 100ml of blood, lower than the UK,...
