Fixed speed cameras to be turned off in West Midlands

 

All fixed site speed cameras in the West Midlands conurbation will be turned off from 1 April next year after a decision by West Midlands Police to only conduct mobile camera enforcement. Some of the fixed site cameras could be re-activated, however, if a way can be found to fund their conversion from wet film to digital technology.
