Bus lane crackdown in Plymouth

 

More than 15,000 fines have been issued to motorists caught driving in bus lanes in Plymouth during the last three months. Six CCTV cameras were installed in the city in August to enforce bus lane restrictions.

A council spokeswoman said: “There were initially 15,555 contraventions during this period but, like other cities using similar enforcement measures, we are already seeing a significant and steady reduction in the number of penalty charge notices being issued on a daily basis....
