Milton Keynes Council has offered a phone parking option since May 2009. At the end of an 18-month trial, the council re-tendered its cashless parking service. As well as covering a phone parking service, the tender required provision of two virtual parking permits. The council’s aim was to save money, speed up response times, and offer motorists an option to purchase permits any time, night or day.
