The City and County of Swansea Council is to begin vehicle-mounted CCTV enforcement of parking restrictions, including outside schools and at bus stops. The council says the current arrangements whereby these locations are visited by enforcement officers on foot patrol offers only a partial solution because illegally-parked motorists drive off as soon as an officer appears. “This provides a momentary solution but does not deter this illegal parking,” says the council....
