The case for extending moving traffic powers is compelling

The use of moving traffic powers in the capital has significantly improved compliance, according to Nick Lester at London Councils. Transport for London and 23 boroughs now carry out eight times as much traffic law enforcement than all the police forces in the UK put together, Lester estimates.
