Residents in a Nottinghamshire town have called for a voluntary 20mph speed limit to be formerly enforced. Advisory signage was installed on street lighting columns on one of Southwell’s busiest roads, the A612 at Easthorpe, in May. But local campaigners argue that the signs do very little to help and said that Nottinghamshire County Council should make the speed limit mandatory.
