A speed limit operation in Matson, Gloucestershire, has led to high levels of compliance Gloucestershire Police has revealed. Two police officers undertook a speeding monitoring exercise using a speed gun at several locations on 6 May to record how fast vehicles were travelling. They found that the average speed of 200 vehicles clocked in a 30mph zone was 27mph. The fastest speed recorded during the period was 35 miles per hour. No fines were issued.
