Reckless driving could see motorists issued with fixed penalty notices as a new measure in the government’s package of road safety laws.
The new fixed penalty notices (FPNs) range from £60 to £100, depending on the severity of the offence, with three penalty points added to the licence.
The fines are designed to tackle wilfully reckless driving, such as tailgating, undertaking, cutting up fellow motorists or weaving in and out of motorway lanes.
