A Liverpool city councillor has condemned the removal of lay-bys for buses in the city as “municipal madness”.
Liberal Democrat councillor Eddie Clein said the decision by Merseytravel will increase congestion. Merseytravel, which regulates public transport on Merseyside, said that the removal of the lay-bys was to comply with Department for Transport guidelines.
