More policing powers for guards at Victoria stations

 

Private security guards are to be given limited policing powers under a government scheme to relieve the petty crime burden on police forces.

The Metropolitan Police is to accredit powers to 15 security guards from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) approved contractor, Ultimate Security Services, to operate around Victoria coach and rail stations in central London.
