A man has been jailed for two years after being found guilty at Southampton Crown Court of fly-tipping. Marcus Bairstow, 36, had blighted roads and even graveyards around the Southampton area. Over a two-year period Southampton City Council gathered evidence — including CCTV?footage, photos and interviews with witnesses — of Bairstow’s offences. This included cases where he dumped truckloads of rubbish and rubble at a cemetery in the Millbrook area.
