More than 50% of people visited by a bailiff firm reported suicidal feelings, according to a survey by the mental health charity Mind.
The survey also found that:
96% reported increased levels of anxiety after a visit from bailiffs while 87% reported increased levels of depression
80% claimed to have experienced threatening behaviour
Over 65% said they were subjected to aggressive behaviour
74% felt it had a negative impact on their family
