Priority lanes, bay suspensions and £200 fines set for 2012 Olympics

Priority lanes will be in operation during the 2012 Olympics, with 60 miles of roads in the capital reserved for accredited Olympic vehicles only. The ‘Games Lanes’ will form part of the Olympic Route Network (ORN), which will cover 104 miles in the capital and 170 miles outside of London.

Some routes will have priority lanes in force every day, including Victoria Embankment, Blackwall Tunnel approach and Stratford High Street.
