The dispute between the US State Department and Transport for London (TfL) over the non-payment of congestion charges and fines by the US Embassy is set to continue. The US Embassy now owes more than £3.5m in unpaid fines.
It was hoped that a greener-minded US administration, and the appointment of a new US Ambassador, Louis Susman, would signal a change of policy on the contentious issue.
