Dumping levels fall

 

The number of abandoned vehicles in the capital has fallen by two-thirds in the last five years. London’s councils collected more than 250 cars a day in 2003, but the figure dropped to 90 a day in 2007. The fall has been attributed to tougher enforcement and higher scrap metal prices as a consequence on the need for metals by emerging world economies especially China and India....
