The way in which cyber crime and fraud can be reported to the police is changing, the Serious Fraud Office has announced.
The City of London Police is launching Report Fraud, a new service that replaces Action Fraud as the national platform for reporting cyber crime and fraud.
The new Report Fraud service has been designed by City of London Police to provide a better experience for victims and deliver improved information to law enforcement.
The service includes:
Members of the public can report cyber crime and fraud at reportfraud.police.uk or by calling 0300 123 2040 (the phone number remains unchanged).
Over the next months all traffic to the old Action Fraud website will automatically redirect to Report Fraud, helping to ensure a smooth transition for the public.
