Parking charges are being collected a country park in Leicestershire using automatic number plate recognition (ANPR).
Leicestershire County Council launched into parking provision at Watermead Park in Birstall following vandalism during Easter 2024.
The decision taken to introduce a cashless-only payment system managed using ANPR.
Parking will cost £2 for one hour, £3.50 for two hours, £4.50 for three hours and £5 for the whole day.
