Wolverhampton council buys back car park

New charges at a car park will help fund regeneration in Wolverhampton. 

Parking fees have been introduced at the St George’s car park, which has returned to council ownership

A Sainsbury’s store in the grade II-listed St George's Church closed in 2014 when a new £60m supermarket opened in Raglan Street. Its car park remained operational as a free facility.
