East Cambridgeshire District Council could sell a car park for just £1 in a bid to keep it in community use.
The council has agreed to sell the car park, two buildings, and an area of open space in Littleport, near Ely, to the town council.
There are concerns they could go to the highest bidder when the authority is dissolved. Under plans for local government reorganisation, the district council will cease to exist in 2028 and a new unitary authority will take over its responsibilities...
